Thank goodness for The Daily Cougar: Communication-advertising sophomore Ivan Perez and graphics-communication sophomore Robin Min are caught in a sudden shower Monday while walking through the Fine Arts Building courtyard.

 

Even with a proposed student fee increase of 260 percent garnering some student support, recently announced faculty defections leave the Bauer College of Business in the unenviable position of trying to educate a bulging student population with a dwindling roster of instructors.


If you're anything like me, you too spend the entire year looking forward to the holiday season. I have dragged myself through the spring, summer and fall semesters just to get to this one month of excitement and tolerable weather. Winter Break always brings welcoming rest and relaxation from the stress of final exams and projects.


Born and raised in the non-inspiring Pleasantville, Iowa, Laura Dawn grew up listening to country legends Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. She loved their storytelling abilities but still had an attraction to rock groups like the Smashing Pumpkins, the Clash and the Pixies.


The UH women's basketball team will take on the UT-El Paso Miners tonight at 7 p.m. at Hofheinz Pavilion.
