Cougar A&E Services

The fact that there will be no on-site public parking available at the massive Reliant Park, has a good percentage of the millions of rodeo spectators a little nervous as to how they will get to the most expansive rodeo show in the nation. However, rodeo-goers should not fret, RodeoHouston has devised a plan that will save everyone energy and money.

The METRO Express shuttle system has come to the rescue providing round-trip transportation from eight conveniently located spots around town.

If you live on the Southwest side of town you can catch the shuttle at Reed Road HLS&R Lot at Highway 288 at Reed Road; Aramco Services Company at 9009 West Loop South parking lot; METRO West Loop Park & Ride Lot at West Loop at South Braeswood; or METRO Westwood Park & Ride at Highway 59 at Bissonnet 9990 Southwest Freeway.

Downtowners can ride from at the Minute Maid Park B & C Lots Stadium and Hwy. 59.

Shuttles on the north side are METRO N. Shepherd Park & Ride Lot located at 7821 N. Shepherd (I-45N at W. Little York) and Delmar Stadium located at Highway 290 at Mangum.

In the southeast catch the bus at METRO Monroe Park & Ride Lot at 8833 1/2 Gulf Freeway (I-45S at Monroe).

Tickets for the METRO shuttles are reasonably priced for 13 and older price is $2 and 12 and younger or 2003 Show Gold Badge members get to ride for free.

Spectators will be dropped off in the Reliant Park parking lot between Naomi and Holly Hall streets. Each off-site parking lot is equipped with security from the Show to keep cars safe.

The shuttle will begin daily routes on Feb. 25 and will run until closing day March 16. Hours of operation for all lots except the Reed Road HLS lot are 5 p.m. to1 a.m. Monday to Thursday; 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday to Sunday. Reed Road lot has continuous shuttle service from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. All of the buses and shows are handicapped accessible.
