Tributes, reality TV hit home

Hey kids, between studying and taking midterms find some time to visit TV Land because there are some great programs on this week. A slew of new and impressively interesting reality shows will be on, as well as a once in a lifetime tribute to the king of reggae.

Lauryn Hill is set to perform tonight along with Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu and Ben Harper for the One Love: The Bob Marley All-Star Tribute at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Check out the girl-power themed pageant show called All American Girl (ABC, 8 p.m.). In tonightis opener, 45 hopefuls compete to break into the next round. Celebrity judges include former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and NBA star John Salley. Also, donit miss One Love: The Bob Marley All-Star Tribute which features performances by Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu, Ben Harper, Lauryn Hill and many more (CBS, 8 p.m.). 


Tonightis episode of Friends should prove to be quite funny when Joey refuses to give Emma his favorite stuffed animal, and Pheebs finds herself in a post-breakup debacle (NBC, 7 p.m.). Catch The Late Show with David Letterman when guest host Will Ferrell welcomes comedians Chris Rock and Jake Johannsen, as well as musical guest American Hi-Fi (CBS, 10:30 p.m.).


Catch the new reality talk show that everyoneis talking about: Michael Essany (E!, 7 p.m.). The episode is a rerun of the original, and it features Essanyis journey to getting a talk show broadcast from his parentsi home, as well as his first guests Kelly Rowland and Tom Green. 


Donit miss a hot new Saturday Night Live when Oscar nominee Salma Hayek hosts and dirty girl Christina Aguilera performs (NBC, 10:30 p.m.).


The hilarious new show Oliver Beene is getting great reviews from critics everywhere (Fox, 7:30 p.m.). In tonightis episode, chaos ensues when the boys are left home alone and one picks the wrong neighbor to toy with. 


In tonightis episode of Married By America five engaged couples start to get to know each other and begin planning their weddings (Fox, 8 p.m.).


If you havenit seen the new show aptly titled Family, then do check it out tonight (ABC, 9 p.m.). George Hamilton hosts the show about a real life family who competes to win a million dollars while they live in a beautiful mansion. If you are seeking the truth behind all of the urban legends around, then catch the Big Urban Myth Show where the mysteries are deciphered (MTV, 9:30 p.m.).
