Kills duo brngs garage rock to Fat Cat's
Those itching to hear live garage rock got scratched at Fat Catis (formerly Mary Janeis) on Friday. Popular band the Yeah Yeah Yeahs was originally scheduled to headline the Hands Up Houston show, but canceled, so The Kills took over the main spot.

A funkin' good time at Café's Earth Fests
Last Concert Café was the scene of the first annual Earth Fest, a benefit concert for the "original Texas music station," KPFT. 

'Management' sets a new record for April
Industry insiders predicted that Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson's new movie Anger Management would top this weekend's box office, but no one could have predicted how by how much it would beat all the other films.

'Justice' star given award
Judge Larry Doherty, star of the nationally syndicated show Texas Justice, was honored by the Houston Alumni Organization with a Distinguished Service Award in the University Hilton on Friday night.
