Letters to the Editor

Administration woes

To the Editor:

In regards to Thursdayis Page One story, "Faculty survey produces stormy results," I submit to you and all that the faculty arenit the only ones who disapprove of Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Ed Sheridan and UH President Arthur K. Smith to at least some degree.

We, the students, have great cause for concern as well.

Either of the two could be a great help getting us a three or four-story parking garage, which could alleviate the massive parking problems facing UH.

Either of the two could have paid attention to the Coke deal, which came in with no warning to any of the students.

I will say that it was one of the most underhanded, sneaky, dishonest moves the administration has ever pulled, and set our food services back at a time when they were improving and providing things we actually liked to drink.

The student body feels the effects of mismanagement every day. Ultimately, Smith and Sheridan have responsibility.

Since the Student Government Association is supposed to be our student voice on issues like this, Iid love to hear the senators actually get off their butts and hold the issue up to the light, or better yet hold a referendum on how we, the student body, feel of the two.

At least one faculty member considers them "ding-a-lings," a sentiment Iim sure is not unique.
