UH aims for C-USA goal
The drive for five consecutive Conference USA womenis soccer tournaments was secured with a last-second score Sunday. Now, the No. 6 Cougar team begins advancing toward its goal of making it past the first round as it meets No. 3 East Carolina at 2:30 p.m. today in Charlotte, N.C.
 

Dimel pushes Bell; C-Rob to miss ECU
A day after it was announced that UH sophomore kicker Dustin Bell had been named a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given to the nation's top collegiate place kicker, head coach Dana Dimel called out Bell at his weekly media luncheon.
 

Pakhalina adds to Cougar trophy case, wins 6th DOW
The awards keep piling up for UH.

Tuesday, it was the swimming and diving teamis turn as senior diver Yulia Pakhalina was named Conference USA Diver of the Week. It is the first time the Russian native has won the award this season. Pakhalina earned the same award five times during the 2001-02 season.
 

Oakland chokes on field goal
The San Francisco 49ers held off quarterback Rich Gannon and the Oakland Raiders offense to improve to 6-2, maintaining the top spot in the NFC West for yet another week.
