Campus Crime Update

The following is a report of campus crime between Nov. 9 and Thursday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics shows when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling 713-743-0600.

Nov. 9

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, 12:27 a.m., UH campus. Two UH utility carts were driven without permission and taken off campus. Both vehicles were recovered. There are no suspects. Occurred at 12:27 a.m. Nov. 9.

Disorderly conduct, 4:08 a.m., Lot 12A. A student was observed urinating in a public place. A Harris County Citation was issued and a Student Life Referral will be issued. Occurred at 4:08 a.m. Nov. 9.

Criminal mischief, 11:56 p.m., Agnes Arnold Hall fifth-floor breezeway. Reporting party advised that a water fountain was removed from the wall and thrown to the ground floor, causing a water leak. There are no suspects. Occurred between 9 and 11:56 p.m. Nov. 9.

Tuesday

Theft, 12:53 p.m., Garrison Gym second-floor court. Two complainants reported the theft of their wallets. Occurred between 12:30 and 12:53 p.m. Tuesday.

Thursday

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 7:18 a.m., Lot 9C. Complainant reported that her unattended, secured vehicle's window was shattered and the contents were stolen. There are no suspects. Occurred between 1 and 7 a.m. Thursday.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 8:15 a.m., Cambridge Oaks Apartments parking lot. Complainant reported that her motor vehicle was burglarized. There are no suspects. Occurred between 5:45 and 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

Assist outside agency warrant, 3:07 p.m., Entrance 1. A student was arrested for an outstanding warrant and transported to the Harris County Jail. Occurred at 3:07 p.m. Thursday.

Possession of marijuana, 6:15 p.m., Lot 7B. A student was arrested for possession of controlled substances and transported to the Harris County Jail. He was also issued a Student Life Referral.
