Abortion display returns to plaza
A pro-life display sponsored by Pro-Life Cougars that caused considerable controversy when it appeared in Spring 2000 and in a court case this summer has made it back to UH. Justice for All, a pro-life group that travels the country with the exhibit, brought the display to campus.

Local Rep encourages Iraq debate
Members of Congress will soon return from their August break after one month of the Bush administration's attempts to strengthen domestic and international support for a possible military strike against Iraq. The White House faces much congressional doubt and criticism, including comments from the 18th Congressional District of Houston's Sheila Jackson Lee, who came to UH Tuesday morning to speak to a communication class.

Expansion project gets going library
It's construction time at UH. In addition to the construction of the new recreation center, the building of new parking lots and the renovation of the University Center Satellite, the projected expansion and renovation of the library is now under way.
