Gogue decides to keep search open
University President Jay Gogue announced Thursday that he will not choose any of the six candidates for provost who have visited the campus, saying the search process for the UH and UH System's academic chief will continue.o new posts in the Division of University Advancement at UH on Thursday.

New sentences needed for victims of abuse
Lately, there has been a string of news reports about wives killing their husbands. Now this is a despicable thing to do, especially since it's perfectly reasonable to get a divorce from a faithless or abusive spouse. However, I feel that the justice system needs an option to deal with these crimes in a more appropriate way.

Rockets not ready for Kobe
In their first visit to the NBA playoffs in five years, the Houston Rockets will get swept. Not because they're facing the Los Angeles Lakers, but because they're going up against Kobe Bryant.
