Women
face drugs, date rape when out
This is the second in a two part series
dealing with rape. Part one appeared in Tuesday's newspaper.
Globalization
grips the world
It is evident; globalization is a
dominant aspect of our time. Earlier this week, UH held a debate on its
effects. Public figures are either constantly speaking out against it or
helping to promote it. Large corporations are, of course, backing it with
every financial resource they can spare. And the government seems to be
making it somewhat of a top priority.
Coogs
belong in heart of Texas
I admit I'm an anachronism when it
comes to Cougar football. I long for those glory days when the Cougars
swaggered through their Southwest Conference opponents with the same easy
flair of Zorro slicing his initial in the tight britches of Sgt. Garcia.
Dashboard's
new sound a misstep
Even on a school night, Dashboard
Confessional managed to draw 1,000 or so of its mostly high-school-age
fans to its first Houston concert in more than a year. Each one was eager
to see the band try to answer the question that's been hanging over the
group since it found sudden success in the mainstream.
