The Cougar defense held firm, allowing Southern Miss just 24 points. But Houston's offense never got on track, scoring just 10 points, all in the first half, and surrendering a fumble the Golden Eagle defense ran back for a touchdown.
 

'McJob' appalls CEO
McDonald's is up in arms because the latest Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines the term "McJob" as "a low-paying job that requires little skill and provides little opportunity for advancement," The Associated Press reported Sunday. McDonald's Chief Executive Officer, Jim Cantalupo, wrote an open letter to Merriam-Webster calling the entry "an inaccurate description of restaurant employment" and "a slap in the face to the 12 million men and women" who work in restaurants.

With three games remaining in the season, the Cougar football team is about to get slammed in the face by the same door it thought it knocked down.

There is no middle ground with The Strokes: Either you love them or hate them. Either you appreciate the band's artistry and offbeat methods of songwriting, or you see the group as five pretty boys from New York whose wealthy upbringing has propelled the band into its current pretentious dispositions.
