Finals are evil: Senior architecture major Sara Carter studies for her physics final Tuesday morning on the Cullen Family Plaza. With only two days of school left, students across campus are beginning to feel the end-of-semester crunch. The last day of classes is Friday, and finals begin Tuesday and will last until Dec. 16.


UH still waiting for new regents
November came and went without word from Austin about the governor's appointments to the UH System Board of Regents, and the wait may continue into next year.

The UH men's basketball team has had a lot of time to think.  The Cougars (0-1) host crosstown rival Rice at 7:30 p.m. today in Hofheinz Pavilion. Houston last played 10 days ago against East Tennessee State, which qualified for the 2003 NCAA tournament
