TOP STORIES

UH scores payday at Michigan, win or lose
Open any newspaper to the Sunday sports page in September and the scores leap out at you: No. 3 Miami, 48, Western Carolina, 20; No. 6 Texas, 66, New Mexico St., 7; No. 7 Kansas State, 41, Troy State, 5; No. 21 Florida, 65, San Jose State, 3.

Mastadon, Sparrow to play
This weekend provides a lot of diverse shows to go and check out. If you head to Fitzgerald's on Friday night there is a pretty good local rock 'n roll show featuring the Down and Dirties, C'Mon C'Mon, The Lusties and Dirty Mind.
