Athletes measuring up in classroom
It pays to be a student athlete. Not only do they get their names in the paper and glory on the playing field, but they may also have better chances of graduating and higher grade-point averages, based on reports from UH's Athletics Department.

The 2004 presidential election is growing nearer, and the most relevant issue the mainstream media has found to cover is which candidate was the most irresponsible during Vietnam. As the corporate sponsored bicker-fest continues unabated, an infinitely more important issue is being all but ignored: the resumption of the military draft.

The Cougar cross country men and women began the 2004 season Wednesday with a pair of top-10 finishes in the Houston/Rice Relays.
