Cougar News Services
Would-be fashion marketers will have a rare chance to talk shop with industry leaders Wednesday during the UH Retail Fashion Forum.
Speakers Roz Pactor, vice president and fashion director of Foley's; Chuck McGee, district manager for Target; Christine Holland, senior vice president and general merchandise manager of Ladies Sportswear; and Magda Sayeg and Dan Fergus, owners of local boutiques Raye and Café Brasil, will participate in a panel discussion. Retail sponsors also will be available to meet students interested in related careers and industry trends.
"Students will get a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in different kinds of retail industries," associate professor of human development and consumer science Shirley Ezell said in a release. "They'll also have a chance to learn about job opportunities, submit résumés and find out what qualifications executive training programs look for in candidates."
The forum, which is sponsored by the College of Technology's
Human Development and Consumer Science Department, will begin at 1 p.m.
Wednesday in the Architecture Building Theater.
