Slate of bills seeks financial aid reform
Texas lawmakers are pushing the Legislature to revamp two of the state's college financial assistance programs, drafting eight bills concerning the TEXAS Grant program and Texas B-On-Time loans.

Negative view of U.S. unmerited
If we were to watch the local news in Paris, Toronto or Madrid, we would find a constant underlying theme: America is a big, bad, evil, capitalist bully. Americans are arrogant, cocky cowboys whose only concerns are money and power. 

Cougars fall to Rice in late-inning comeback
The Houston Cougar baseball team (18-22) was once again on the short side of a one-run game as the Rice Owls squeaked by 10-9 in the fourth game of the 2005 Sterling Bank Silver Glove Series at Reckling Park on Tuesday night.
