As debates heat up, standards decline
As the political race heats up and tensions increase, debate and disagreement are everywhere. It is impossible to avoid clashing points of view, but, unfortunately, it is also impossible to find well-presented points of view.

Briles: It was really 17-13
Though they out-gained the opposition in total yards, a couple of key mistakes that led to defensive touchdowns dug the Houston Cougars into a hole they couldn't get out of, as they were defeated by the Miami Hurricanes 38-13 on Thursday at Reliant Stadium.

Rock should be left out of voting booth
I must admit that even though I am an avid fan of rock music, there are groups in other musical genres that I would describe as my guilty pleasures. A favorite of these forbidden distractions is the unorthodox hip-hop trio hailing from Yankee country, the Beastie Boys.
