Horned Frogs knock Cougars out of postseason contention
FORT WORTH -- The Houston Cougar offense made a late charge in the fourth quarter Saturday, putting up 18 points in the final period. It would prove to be too little, too late as UH was defeated by the Texas Christian Horned Frogs 27-34 in front of 36,276 at Amon Carter Stadium.
 

Coogs finish 1-1 against USF, UAB
This weekend was an important one for the Cougar soccer team as the squad played host to a pair of Conference USA foes starting Friday night at Robertson Stadium against the South Florida Bulls, then finishing against Alabama-Birmingham. The Cougars defeated the USF in overtime; however, they suffered a crushing loss to UAB.
 

Coogs down 1-6, now play for pride
The remaining hopes for the Cougar football team to make it into a bowl game went down the drain Saturday night against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. A valiant effort at the end of the game made the score a respectable 27-34.
 

Astros' season brings baseball fever back to Houston
I'm a lifelong Astros fan, not one of the legions of new fans the team suddenly sported in the closing days of the 2004 season.
