Campus Crime Report
The following is a partial report of campus crime between Tuesday and Wednesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.
Burglary, Motor Vehicle: 3:58 p.m., Tuesday, Lot 15D -- A student parked her vehicle and went to class. Upon her return, she discovered her stereo had been stolen. Occurred between 8:40 and 9:31 a.m. on Tuesday.
Theft: 5:36 p.m., Tuesday, Architecture Building -- A student left his UH owned laptop, which he checked out, unattended and unsecured in the Architecture Library. When he returned, unknown person(s) had stolen the laptop. Occurred between 5:15 and 5:18 p.m. Tuedsay.
Theft: 12:27 p.m., Tuesday, Campus Recreation and Wellness Center -- A student reported the theft of his unsecured watch from a locker at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. The watch was recovered and a Student Life Referral was issued to the suspect. The complainant did not wish to file criminal charges. There are no suspects. Occurred at 10:34 a.m. Tuesday.
Traffic Offense: 1:19 p.m., Tuesday, Science & Research 2 --A maintenance staff member stated that his secured and unattended UH work truck was struck by an unknown vehicle while parked just north of the loading dock to the Science and Research 2 building. Occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Theft: 12:32 p.m., Wednesday, University Hilton Hotel -- A staff member reported the theft of her unattended and unsecured purse and contents. Occurred between 12:15 and 12:25 p.m. Wednesday.
BMV: 2:24 p.m., Wednesday, Lot 4A -- Unknown person(s) broke into three vehicles in the same lot. There are no suspects at this time. Occurred at 4:17 a.m. Wednesday.
Disorderly Conduct: 1:03 a.m., Wednesday, Lot
1A --Two UH students were having a physical altercation in Lot 1A.
Both students were issued Class C citation for Disorderly Conduct. Occurred
between 1 and 1:03 a.m. Wednesday.
