Campus Crime Report
The following is a partial report of campus crime between June 27 and June 30. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.
Traffic Offense: 8:42 a.m., June 27, Lot 17B -- A staff member reported unknown person struck his unattended vehicle parked in Lot 17B causing damage to the rear passenger-side bumper. There are no suspects at this time. Occurred between 7 and 8:30 a.m. on June 26.
Theft: 10:30 a.m., June 28, UH Health Center -- A student reported losing her wallet in the lobby area of the UH Health Center, and when she later recovered her wallet she discovered all of her money missing. There are no suspect(s) at this time. Occurred between 9:15 a.m. and 9:22 a.m. on June 28.
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: 11:14 a.m., June 28, Entrance 14 -- A visiting contractor working on UH Entrance 14 reported an unknown black male entered the open bed of his company-owned truck and removed his property. The contractor reported the black male then threw away the item, displayed what appeared to be a handgun and then walked away into Lot 15D. An investigation is under way. Occurred between 10:40 a.m. and 11:14 a.m. on June 28.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle: 3:55 p.m., June 28, Lot 17B -- A UH staff member reported a vehicle in UH Lot 17B with no UH decal or license plates. Upon further inspection, the vehicle proved to be stolen. Occurred between 2:30 p.m. on June 14 and 3:55 p.m. on June 28.
Burglary, Coin Operated/Collection Machine: 6:11 p.m., June 28, Fine Arts Building -- A UH staff member reported unknown individual(s) burglarized a coin-operated machine located in the Fine Arts Building women°Øs restroom. There are no suspects. Occurred between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on June 28.
Criminal Mischief: 3:46 p.m., June 29, Lot 15D -- A staff member reported her secured, unattended vehicle°Øs driver-side rear window was broken and shattered by an unknown object or person(s). No information was left on her vehicle regarding the incident. There are no suspects. Occurred from 9:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. on June 29.
Theft: 6:13 p.m., June 29, Moores School of Music -- A visitor reported unknown individual(s) stole her unattended and unsecured red and orange striped purse from one of the benches outside of the Moores School of Music. There are no suspects and no witnesses. Occurred from 2:50 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 29.
