Senate deals with cartoon
Wednesday's meeting of the Student Government Association Senate served as a forum for an impassioned discussion of a controversial editorial cartoon that ran in the Sept. 19 issue of The Daily Cougar.

Reckless reporting bears high costs
As we have returned back to our homes and settled back into our normal routines after the mass evacuation for Hurricane Rita, Texans, as well as the rest of the nation, clearly recognize the role the media played in amplifying the state of concern throughout the general public.

'Mentors and Prodigy' gives ballet seductive twist
The Houston Ballet's fall repertory program, Mentors and Prodigy, was scheduled to run from Sept. 22 through Sunday, but performances on Sept. 22-25 were cut because of Hurricane Rita.
