New name for GSSW?
The UH System Board of Regents Academic and Student Affairs Committee approved Tuesday a proposal to change the Graduate School of Social Work's name to the Graduate College of Social Work.

Senate battles textbook tricks
As textbook publishers continue to tighten their squeeze on college students, the UH Faculty Senate is trying to ensure teachers don--t add to the pressure. 

UHPD: be alert on campus
A recent surge of assaults prompted the UH Police Department to increase nighttime security and ask everyone to call them about any suspicious activity.

STOMP: stop illegal downloads
Students Together Opposing Music Piracy, a student organization created by an advertising applications class, will host an event today advocating legal music downloading.

Brett Sokolow, an attorney who specializes in sexual harassment cases, intended to get students "to stop and think" during "Drunk Sex or Date Rape?" an interactive forum held Wednesday.
