Where's the ferris wheel?: An event held Wednesday in the University Center promoted tonight's Cougar football game against the Oregon Ducks by letting students participate in a mock duck hunt, along with offering free food and prizes. 


UH may open to victims of Katrina
The Faculty Senate unanimously passed a resolution Wednesday to provide UH as a haven for students displaced by Hurricane Katrina, which devastated parts of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi earlier this week.

Discrimination never 'rational'
The election in November will be momentous. Proposition 2 consists of a constitutional amendment inserting the definition of marriage as being between only a man and a woman.

Houston goes Duck hunting
Houston quarterback Kevin Kolb will attempt to lead the Cougars to victory during the team's season opener against Oregon at 6 p.m. today at Reliant Stadium.

Bops start concert off with a swing
When music fans go to see an artist like Tori Amos, they aren't necessarily afraid of missing the opening acts ? it's the mermaid who they came for and that's perfectly understandable.
