Lawmakers hold public forum
The House Committee on State Affairs of the Texas House of Representatives conducted a public hearing on stem cell research Tuesday where speakers spoke out against the use of embryonic stem cell; while others argued in favor of the use of both adult and embryonic stem cells to improve quality of life and further scientific research.

War on science delays progress
The Texas House of Representatives State Affairs Committee held a public interim hearing regarding stem cell research at the UH Law Center's Krost Auditorium yesterday.
