First reason to attend Frontier Fiesta

Frontier Fiesta announced Tuesday the musical lineup for the festival that will be held from March 30 to April 1.

Performers will include rapper and native Houstonian Trae and Atlanta-based DJ UNK on March 30 and Hispanic hip-hop artist DJ Kane and reggaeton musician N.O.R.E. on March 31. Texas country musicians Cory Morrow and Honeybrowne will conclude the festival on April 1.

Frontier Fiesta is an annual festival held in a parking lot near Robertson Stadium featuring student organizations, carnival activities, food and performances by local and major label musicians.

Student volunteers build all the structures used during the festival.

Frontier Fiesta returned from hiatus in 1992 after a suspension of activities in 1959. The event started in the 1940s, and was highlighted by Life magazine in 1958 as "the greatest college show on Earth."
