MONDAY

Bioanlysis and other stuff: The UH Department of Chemical Engineering will host speaker Chang Lu, a professor of engineering at Cornell University, whose talk, titled "Microsystems: From Power Generation to Bioanalysis," will start at 2:45 p.m. in Room L2-D2 in the Cullen College of Engineering. Healthly Deltas: Mu Delta, the African American pre-health association, will have sentatives from the Baylor College of Medicine at the group's meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the UC Underground's Baltic Room. For more information, visit www.uh.edu/mudelta.

Caribbean flavor: The Caribbean Student Organization will be selling Jamaican patties and pizza from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the PGH Breezeway. Fore more information, call Gareth at (713) 743-7013.
 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Helping out: The provost's office seeks applicants for its Disabilities Awareness Program, which helps students with disabilities with tasks such as tutoring and note taking. The program needs applicants before April 12 to get started, though applications will be accepted after that date. The first 20 people accepted into the program will receive a $500 stipend. For more information, contact Mohamad at mhalawi@uh.edu.

Diplomatic immunity: The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is accepting applications for the 2004-2005 Ambassadors program through March 12. For more information or to apply visit www.nsm.uh.edu/amb/ambindex.htm.

Get with it: The Student Program Board is accepting applications for their executive cabinet and committee chair positions. Applications can be picked up in the UC's Room 59. For more information, call (713) 743-5210.
